We, Sherry Rawlings and Tamala Walker-Richardson, are more than co-founders of R&R Pitchin’ In Inc.—we are women who have lived the journey of caregiving through the storm of cancer. Both of us stood by our beloved spouses as they courageously fought this devastating disease. One of us experienced the profound heartbreak of loss, finding comfort in knowing he “fought the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12). Our personal experiences opened our eyes to the full weight of what cancer brings—not only the physical toll on the patient, but also the emotional, mental, and financial burden it places on the entire family. We witnessed firsthand how isolating and overwhelming this battle can be. That is why we founded R&R Pitchin’ In Inc.—to turn our pain into purpose. We are driven by the belief that no cancer fighter or family should face this journey alone. Through acts of service, compassion, and community support, we are committed to pitching in wherever and whenever we’re needed. Our mission is to uplift, connect, and walk beside others with the same love and strength we once needed ourselves.
